Installing WoodsPortal in Your HubSpot Account

Overview

WoodsPortal is a deeply integrated HubSpot app that lets you build and manage customer portals directly within your HubSpot portal. This guide walks you through installation and initial portal creation.

Before you begin

• You must have a HubSpot user account with Super Admin or Partner Admin permissions.

• Ensure you know which HubSpot portal (Hub ID) you want to connect if you have multiple.

Step-by-Step Installation

1. Log in to WoodsPortal

   • Go to https://woodsportal.digitalwoods.io and create an account.

   • Verify your email and login.

2. Connect Your HubSpot Account
   

   • On the HubSpot Accounts page, click Add HubSpot account.

   • If you have multiple HubSpot portals, select the desired one and click Choose account.
     
     

3. Authorize the App

   • Review the access statement (“This app is requesting access to your HubSpot account”) and click Continue.

   • When the scopes list appears, click Connect app to grant permissions.
     
     

4. Name Your Connection

   • Enter a custom name for this account connection.

   • Click Got it to finalize.

   • ✔️ Tip: Choose a clear, unique name—this label is used for portal associations and cannot be changed later.

5. Create Your First Client Portal
   

   • From the list of connected accounts, click the one you just added to open the Client Portals page.

   • Click Create client portal.
     
     

   • In the pop-up, enter a Portal Name and select a Portal URL from the drop-down (these domains reflect those already added in your HubSpot account).

   • Click Create.
     
     

6. Wait for Theme Installation

   • WoodsPortal’s theme and assets will be installed in your HubSpot Design Manager.

   • ⏳ This usually takes 1–2 minutes. Once complete, you can apply the WoodsPortal theme when building website or landing pages to surface your new portal.
