Tenant administrators can require multi-factor authentication for a specific portal and select the methods portal users may use.

Configure the portal policy

  1. Sign in to https://app.woodsportal.com as an administrator with portal security access.
  2. Open Account settings, then Portal security.
  3. Select the hub and portal you want to configure.
  4. Enable Require MFA.
  5. Choose at least one allowed method.
  6. Save the portal security settings.
  7. Test the policy with a non-administrator test user before broad rollout.

Supported methods

  • Email code
  • Authenticator application using TOTP
  • Backup code
  • Passkey, when the user and device support it

Important

  • SMS verification is disabled in the current product guidance and must not be presented as an available MFA method.
  • At least one method must be selected when MFA is required.
  • Allowing a method does not automatically enroll every user. Authenticator applications and passkeys require user enrollment.
  • The policy is portal-specific. Confirm the selected portal before saving.
